More Storms this Weekend

Look for a slight chance for a few isolated showers or thunderstorms across eastern and coastal North Carolina this afternoon.  We'll see partly sunny skies, hot and humid conditions with inland highs around 90° to the low 90s.  The beaches should top out in the mid 80s on a gusty southwest breeze.

A cold front drops into North Carolina Saturday and will increase rain chances for the weekend. You can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms for Saturday afternoon and evening.  Heavy downpours will be likely with some of the storms that form, along with frequent lightning and strong wind gusts.

That front is expected to stall out across our area keeping the chance for scattered showers and storms in the forecast through Monday.

Much of our region should see around 1 to 2" of rain from Saturday through Monday.
