More Storms Possible Saturday

Plenty of clouds and some showers greeted you this morning, but look for a brighter afternoon as sunshine breaks through the clouds this afternoon.  It will be warm and humid with highs near 90° in the Triangle and the low 90s across the Sandhills.  There's only a slight chance for an isolated shower or storm.

Rain chances increase Saturday as a cold front moves into North Carolina.  Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day with partly sunny skies as highs will top out around 90° to the low 90s.

That front is expected to stall near the coast Sunday keeping the chance for showers and storms in far eastern North Carolina for Sunday, but the central North Carolina should remain dry with highs in the mid and upper 80s.

Pleasant summer conditions are expected for much of next week.  We'll enjoy lower humidity with highs just around 80° to the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday!
