A few more storms on Tuesday

The weather held up well for much of North Carolina on Monday afternoon for the solar eclipse...  As we continue through the night, we should see a quiet weather pattern.

On Tuesday, we'll see more heat, more humidity and a slightly better chance for afternoon and evening, showers and isolated thunderstorms.

The state will see a much better chance for showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Wednesday night as a strong cold front crosses the region.  Behind this front, temperatures will be lower with more sunshine.

In the tropics, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring the remnants of Harvey.  Elsewhere, all is quiet across the Atlantic Basin.
