Buffalo man sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for killing friend

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A Buffalo man could spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his friend.

Erik Donaldson, 32, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison Wednesday for shooting 22-year-old Christian Thomas.

Thomas went missing in December 2007, and his body was found on Montana Street about five months later.

Donaldson will be eligible for parole in 25 years.
